Fun Family Game #2: The Sentence Game

This is a great way to bond with your family! You could use it for a family home evening and even pull from the lds family proclamation.

I never get tired of playing this game.  It is SO funny to me.  Every time I play it I end up in laughing so hard I cry.   This is a group game.  You will probably want at least 8 or 9 people for the game to really work well.

It is such a simple concept, but it completely capitalizes on everyone’s personalities.  We played it last Christmas with my husband’s family, and the rest of the weekend, I kept going back through and looking at the papers and finding new things to laugh at.

This is a great game!  Here is what you need:

Print off of this paper – 1 per person:  Sentence game

Pens or pencils for each person

And that is it!

Here is how you play:

Give everyone a piece of paper and sit in a circle.

Have everyone write a statement about themselves or someone else in the room.

And tell them not to share their statement with anyone else!

Then have them fold their paper back on the line and pass their paper to the person on their left

That person will turn the paper over and read the statement the person wrote

And then they have 60 seconds to draw it.

Then have them fold it over again – burrito style.  They need to cover the previous sentence.  And then pass it to the next person.

See how it is folding over like a burrito?  Not a fan.  Trust me, this can be the most complicated part of this game.

Now, the next person will look at the picture and write a sentence that describes the picture.  In 60 seconds or less.

They will fold it over again – and pass it.

Then a picture will be drawn of the new sentence

Everyone should finish at the same time.  Then unravel the papers and have a good laugh.
